Although this tape will release from most surfaces without leaving behind an adhesive residue, there is always the possibility of "finish lift" with paints and clear coats. Always try to avoid surface protection that requires direct tape application to painted or finished surfaces. If this is not possible,
ALWAYS test first in an inconspicuous area prior to application.
